Boston Is Gorgeous – Do We Really Have To Leave?

We’ve been in Boston since 3 July and we haven’t really posted much since!

Partly because it’s been go, go, go but also because I’ve heard so much about how great Boston is that I wanted to let it sink in before writing about it.

So here we are!

The lovely Heidi, Justin, Maggie and Sam of The Great Family Escape have so kindly hosted us here in Boston. How brave are they to let our noisy family through their door?

We’ve made our mark and I plan to let you in on T

HAT story tomorrow!!

Turns out Boston is everything we’ve been told about.

Easy to walk around. Streets with a friendly feel. Helpful people. AND we are here in Summer which is an added bonus!!

Arriving in Boston we have felt at home right away. Wandering around the streets feels quaint – its just like we’ve seen on TV!

Unfortunately this has led us to be highly relaxed and not too bothered about sightseeing. A nice walk to the lake and home via the 7-eleven to get a Slurpie is becoming the highlight of our day!

Especially as our last stop was Vegas which has anything but a homey feel.

And our next stop is New York where we plan to set a frenetic pace and sightsee from sun up until we fall into bed late at night!

Check back this week to get the full story on our time in Boston. This is what you’ve got to look forward to:

Justin’s car breaks down about 10 minutes after he picks us up. A fun night on the side of the road ensues!!
4th of July fireworks were enjoyed by all!
Our first day alone in the apartment we tried to demolish their belongings!
We visited Harvard University!
Gert and Jono had their long awaited sailing adventure!
There’s been a board games extravaganza all week!!

I know you can’t wait for all that juicy goss!! Check back tomorrow for the car saga!! I have photos!!

  1. I love Boston! Lived there for 8 years. One of my favorite places is Parish Cafe in the Back Bay. Try the Zuni roll! Note a little loud for dinner but the drinks are great 🙂

    • Thanks for the tip Kiera! Nothing could be as loud as the pizza restaurant we went to on 4th July!!
